Arknights Endfield Pity System Explained
5★10-Pull 5★ Guarantee
Every 10 pulls guarantees at least one 5★ operator. This counter carries over between all banners. If you do 7 pulls on one banner and 3 on another, you'll get your guaranteed 5★ on that 10th total pull.
65Soft Pity (65 Pulls)
After 65 pulls without a 6★, the game activates "soft pity." Your 6★ chance increases by roughly 5% per pull:
80Hard Pity (80 Pulls)
At exactly 80 pulls, you are guaranteed a random 6★ from the banner pool. This could be the featured operator (50% chance) or a standard operator (50% chance). This pity carries over between Chartered banners.
120Featured Guarantee (120 Pulls)
If you reach 120 pulls on a Chartered banner without getting the featured 6★, you can claim them directly. This is a banner-specific reward, not a gacha roll. WARNING: This does NOT carry over - when the banner ends, progress toward 120 resets to zero!
The 50/50 System
When you pull a 6★ on a Chartered banner, there's a 50% chance it's the featured operator and 50% chance it's from the standard pool. Unlike some games, there is no guaranteed featured after losing 50/50 - each 6★ is a fresh coin flip. This is why the 120 guarantee exists.
What Carries Over Between Banners?
Carries Over
- • 10-pull 5★ guarantee counter
- • 80-pull 6★ hard pity counter
- • Soft pity progress (pulls 65-79)
- • Arsenal Tickets (weapon currency)
Does NOT Carry Over
- • 120-pull featured guarantee
- • Weapon banner pity (resets each banner)
- • Banner-specific permit currencies
Critical Warning: If you do 110 pulls on Laevatain's banner and it ends, you lose ALL progress toward the 120 featured guarantee. Your 80-pull pity carries to the next banner, but you won't get Laevatain unless she gets a rerun. Plan accordingly!
Arknights Endfield Pulling Strategy
Complete the Beginner Banner First
The New Horizons banner is the best value in the game: 20% discount, guaranteed 6★, and a free 6★ weapon. Always finish this before pulling elsewhere.
Never Pull Without 120-Pull Budget
The golden rule of Endfield gacha: don't pull unless you can hit the spark. Having 60,000 Oroberyl (120 pulls) ensures you're guaranteed the featured operator regardless of luck.
Commit to ONE DPS Per Type
Don't spread resources across multiple DPS of the same role. Pick one AoE carry (like Laevatain) and one single-target carry (like Yvonne), then save everything else.
Skip Weapon Banners Early
Weapon banners pity doesn't carry over between banners. Focus on building your operator roster first - weapons are nice-to-have, not essential for clearing content.
Wait 24-48 Hours After New Banners
Let the community test new operators before committing. Initial impressions can be wrong - wait for theorycrafters to confirm whether a new unit is truly meta-defining.
Which Banner Should You Pull? (v1.0)
Laevatain
SJan 22 - Feb 7Heat Striker - AoE DPS
The best AoE damage dealer at launch. Excellent for clearing mobs and early-to-mid game content. Pairs well with free units like Wulfgard and Ardelia. Slightly weaker against single-target bosses.
Recommendation: Pull if you need AoE damage
Gilberta
SFeb 7 - Feb 24Nature Support - Universal Buffer
The most versatile pick of version 1.0. Provides damage buffs, crowd control via vortex grouping, and defense-reducing debuffs. Fits any team and helps maximize damage for everyone. Supports age well and resist powercreep.
Recommendation: Best long-term investment for most players
Yvonne
SFeb 24 - Mar 13Cryo DPS - Single-Target Boss Killer
Excels at destroying bosses and elite enemies. Best when targets are frozen or immobilized. Works great with Gilberta or other CC supports. Requires more precise positioning and timing than Laevatain.
Recommendation: Pull if you lack single-target damage
F2P Recommendation: If you can only guarantee one operator, Gilberta offers the best long-term value as supports resist powercreep better than DPS. If you already have good supports from rerolling, Laevatain is the safer DPS pick for general content.
F2P Resources: How to Get Free Pulls
Arknights Endfield is generous at launch - you can get approximately 135+ free pulls plus a free 6★ operator (Ardelia) and multiple 6★ weapons!

Ongoing Oroberyl Sources

- •Operational Manual: Node, Daily, and Training challenges

Pro Tip: Don't convert Origeometry directly to Oroberyl. Instead, use Origeometry to upgrade the Protocol Pass - it gives much better value over time.
Common Gacha Mistakes to Avoid
Pulling Without 120-Pull Budget
"Just a few pulls to test my luck" is the fastest way to waste resources. If you can't hit 120, don't pull on limited banners.
Letting 120 Progress Expire
If you've already invested 80+ pulls into a banner, finish to 120 before it ends. Losing that progress is devastating.
Prioritizing Weapons Over Operators
New players should build their operator roster first. Weapon pity doesn't carry over, making it a worse investment early on.
Spending Oroberyl on Stamina/Revives
Oroberyl is exclusively for pulling. Spending it on anything else is extremely inefficient - save every last bit for banners.
Converting Oroberyl for Basic Permits
The Basic (standard) banner is permanent - there's no rush. Save Oroberyl for time-limited Chartered banners instead.
Pulling on Every Banner
Endfield rewards patience. Skip banners for operators you don't need - focus resources on the ones that will truly improve your team.
Arknights Endfield Gacha FAQ
What is the 6-star rate in Arknights Endfield?
The base 6★ rate in Arknights Endfield is 0.8% for character banners and 4% for weapon banners. Character banners have soft pity starting at 65 pulls (increasing by ~5% per pull) and hard pity at 80 pulls guaranteeing a random 6★.
Does pity carry over between banners?
For character banners: the 80-pull hard pity carries over, but the 120-pull featured guarantee does NOT carry over. For weapon banners: pity does not carry over at all between different weapon banners.
How many pulls do I need for a guaranteed featured character?
You need 120 pulls to guarantee the featured 6★ operator on a Chartered banner. At 80 pulls you're guaranteed a random 6★, but it has only a 50% chance of being the featured unit. The 120-pull "spark" is the only way to 100% guarantee the featured character.
Is Arknights Endfield F2P friendly?
Yes, Arknights Endfield is relatively F2P friendly. You can get 135+ free pulls at launch, plus ongoing resources from quests, exploration, and events. However, the system rewards patient players who save and plan rather than casual pullers.
Should I pull for weapons or characters first?
Characters first, always. Weapons provide smaller power increases and their banner pity doesn't carry over. Build a solid operator roster before investing in weapons. Plus, you naturally earn Arsenal Tickets from character pulls.
What happens to limited operators after their banner ends?
Chartered (limited) operators remain available as off-banner possibilities for two subsequent banners, then disappear completely until they get a rerun. They never enter the standard pool, making them truly limited.
How much Oroberyl do I need for 120 pulls?
You need 60,000 Oroberyl for 120 pulls (500 per pull × 120 = 60,000). This is the recommended savings target before pulling on any limited banner to guarantee you can reach the featured operator.
